We are adjusting slowly, better yet, I am adjusting slowly. It took Nevaeh about 2 or 3 days to get used to the fact that we have a baby in the house. It took Jacob about 3 seconds to adjust, he is an amazing father. Me on the other hand, at 10 days I am still adjusting. At home, I am fine, we feed, change and sleep BUT the idea of going out with him freaks me out!! How am I supposed to get out of the house on time now?!?!? It would take me about an hour to get ready to head out THEN he will need to nurse so I decide to scratch the plans!

Since Lincoln was only 8 pounds when he was born, it feels as if he is tiny compared to Nevaeh who weighed in at 9 lbs 13 ounces. I still think he looks and feels fragile, even though he is bigger than the average baby.

Due to the "swine flu" NO kids under the age of 16 we allowed into the hospital therefore Nevaeh had to wait to meet her brother until we go home. Needless to say she was ridiculously excited to meet little Lincoln. Since getting home yesterday she has wanted to hold him every second!! She has kissed him about a million times and doesn't want to leave his side.

Not finding out what we were having was one of the best decisions we have made!! It was so much fun waiting for Jacob to announce the sex of the baby. When he finally stood up to check the baby out, he whispered "it's a boy" and I said "WHAT?" he then looked down at me and said "it's a boy!". Then I replied about 3 or 4 times, "it's a boy?" I was so confused because I could have bet my house on the fact that this baby was a girl. I was beyond positive!! I should have known since I was just as positive that Nevaeh was a boy... so much for mother's instinct!
Waiting to meet the mystery baby!!

We arrived at the hospital at 945 and waited to be put in a room to get the ball rolling. By noon I had my little hat on and ready to walk into the operating room!

The last picture of us a parents to one
Me waiting and watching "the view"
Oh my... cap on waiting to walk into the operating room!! Last few minutes before we find out what we were having!!!

Our poor Kona has been so super duper hot lately we decided to get him to the groomers. We figured that not only will he be more comfortable it will be better that he is hairless when the baby gets here..
So here his is NAKED! We can't keep him outside in the sun too long because we are afraid he will get a sunburn.

Nevaeh's 4th birthday started out with Pancakes and eggs, then followed by a fun day at school, where she was able to have cupcakes with her friends to celebrate her birth! After we picked her up from school we took her straight to Chuck E. Cheese where she played her little heart out.
We finished off a great day with brownies... we all had a fun filled day.

Our little lady has had her 4th birthday party. I am still in shock that I have a 4 year old. We have been beyond blessed to have such an amazing, calm, funny, outgoing (most of the time), polite child. I dread birthday parties (because I think I am an awful cook and host!!) but I couldn't say no because Nevaeh definitely deserves it! This year it was a Tinker Belle birthday party, we were lucky enough to have Tinker Belle show up to our party. She traveled all the way from Pixie Hollow just to celebrate with Nevaeh. The kids had so much fun... Yay Tinker Belle!

Nevaeh has been asking to play soccer for about a year... we kept saying we were going to sign her up but for some reason or another we didn't. However, one day after work Jacob decided to head down to the YMCA and sign her up out of the blue, she couldn't have been happier! She got to play in her first game today at 9 a.m., I am glad it was that early because by 9 a.m. it was SOOOO hot. My poor baby was sweating so much, luckily she didn't care and still ran around like a little professional soccer player.
What a great way to start the morning!
Happy 4th of July!
